1a. Files You Upload

We do not collect, store, or transmit any spreadsheet files. All file processing is performed entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript. Your Excel files never leave your device and are never sent to our servers. We have no server-side processing of your files whatsoever.

1b. Usage Data

We may collect anonymised, aggregated usage data through Google Analytics (if enabled) such as pages visited, time on site, browser type, and country. This data cannot be used to identify you personally and is used solely to understand how users interact with our tool so we can improve it.

We also use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count page views. Umami sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and does not track you across websites or build a profile of you. Because it collects no personal data it runs for every visitor rather than only those who accept cookies. It records the page address, the site that referred you, and general information such as country, browser and whether you are on a phone or a computer.

1c. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

• Essential cookies: A single cookie (cookie_consent) stored in localStorage to remember your cookie consent preference. This cookie contains no personal data.
• Advertising cookies: none. This site carries no advertising and loads no ad network, so nothing here sets a cookie to serve or target ads.

ExcelErrorFinder is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
